re-configure Arris C3 receive 30-42Mhz CM Transmit 14-26Mhz
Hi
I have a CMTS Arris Cadant C3 with four upstream channel with the fallow description:
Channel ID Frequency
0.0 28Mhz
1.0 26Mhz
2.0
3.0
The channel ID 0.0 and 1.0 use the same Downconverter in the fallow frequency:
RF Interface : 2150 to 2162Mhz
IF Frecuency : 14 - 26Mhz
I have a problem because I buy the new downconverter with the fallow specification:
RF Interface: 2150 to 2162Mhz
IF Frecuency: 30-42Mhz
The transceivers that use for connect to CMTS use the fallow specification
RF Interface : 2150 to 2162Mhz
IF Frecuency : 14 - 26Mhz
The company where I buy the new downconverte they tell me that I need:
re-configure your CMTS box to receive customer modem signal at 30 to 42 MHz range while requesting from customer modem to transmit at 14 to 26 MHz range.
My Question for all is: ¿It is possible this, the cable modem can transmit in diferent frequency?
I wait your commentaries

 to the forum.
You appear to be a little confused as to the purpose of the forum. This forum is intended to help UK cable users specifically with problems to do with the Cable network owned by Virgin Media. As such, the help we can offer may be limited. Those that are in a position to help may well be covered by a Non-Disclosure agreement.

Wiyat - This is an english Cable forum that pretty much exclusively deals with the service, infrastructure and equipment offered by Virgin Media. You may be lucky in that there are some god-like individuals who know just about everything about cable, not just in the UK. But I wouldn't bet on it.
<edit> Stuart, you type too d4mn fast...

Hey there wiyat
In the UK, generally Cisco equipment is used for CMTS deployment rather than Arris on cable networks, although I believe Arris kit is being tested for the Docsis 3 trial (just a rumour though).
Cisco equipment is preferred due to its scalability and ease of administration through the Cisco Admin panel to change these types of settings. With Arris I'm not to sure what admin control is used, I'm only sued to Cisco myself.
Best bet is maybe to get in touch with the manufacturer direct.
Surely if you are using a CMTS kit, this would mean you work with an ISP, do you not have direct support for this equipment from the vendor ??
Regards
