Confused

Last month I got an email from VM saying I was being upgraded from 4mb to 10mb for free.It now says that the change is complete, yet I'm still only getting speeds of 4mb.Anyone know how to resolve this or do I have to ring customer support?

Try turning off your modem for 10 - 15 minutes, then turning it back on. It should then donwload the configuration file.

Hope it works matey

Re: Confused

I meant unplug it, sorry. Take the power lead out of the back.

The switch on the top is just "Standby" mode if that's what you mean.

Unplug the Linksys, then the cable modem.

Leave for 10 mins or so, then plug in the cable modem, and wait for the lights to settle. Then plug the Linksys back in

Give them a few more days, check the status page... Who knows, maybe you're connected to a different nearby area.

Actually, you could click the "Connection" link at the top of every page to see what you're connected to, post the results here, edit out the cust1256 bit though

At the top of this page, in one of the blue bars.

Easy way to find it is press Ctrl + F, then search for "connection". It will highlight it for you

Re: Confused

Now, the "War" part, it tells you the start of the area you are connected too, which in this case, courld be warwickshire or something. Does that sound right?

Re: Confused

In the first post you said "being upgraded" it is possible that it has not happened.

Check the email to see if it gives a time scale.
