Virgin Offer in the Post

Despite having been on the VIP pack since it's inception, I got this through the post today -

Thank You for being blah blah blah..... £56 a month for XL TV, BB and Phone.

Which isn't that much cheaper than if you bought it as a new customer (BB XL £20 / TV XL £20.50 / Phone XL £18.95 Total £59.95)

So, is it cheaper than the amount you're paying???

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

I was on L broadband, XL TV, V, V+ and basic phone and was paying around £75. I bit the bullter and upgraded to VIP, and I also received this mail shot Thursday morning. Bit of a kick in the teeth I thought. I could've gone to that instead, but now I'm tied in for 12 months!!

The XL broadband is £37. The £20 offer is when you only have a telco, It can't be taken with the TV. You can't pix and mix which offers you want.

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

The thing that got me is I couldn't see any mention of the BB at £20 being a time limited offer say for 6 or 12 months. Seemed to be fixed at £20 for as long as you had a VM phone.

Maybe when 50Mb is launched then this will be the new price point for 20Mb?

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

Haven't got the letter... but I think I'm going to try getting this anyway. So utterly sick of the service that I'm either going to try and get a good deal or cancel.

Done. Went through no problems and I'll be getting the box installed on Tuesday. =)

20Mb?
If it's like the offer earlier in the year you will get a new contract, so it's not time limited.

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

Seems like a good deal for me. One question I have is, will I be able to upgrade to a VIP pack say within 12 months or will I be stuck with this offer?

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

I think you will be ok to upgrade because they will be taking more money off you.

I also got the letter through the post even though i have been on the vip package since i have had the V+ box.
It seems to me that departments dont speak to each other. i was quite happy when i read the letter when i thought i was going to get money off only to be told on the phone that it wasnt open to customers on vip.

Well you dont get something for nothing in life and im happy with the service i receive but £20 off would have been nice.

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

Dont forget, the offer you have got in the post is only for XL TV XL Phone and XL BB, its not including Sky Sports, Movies, a V+ box at £30 install or a 2nd V box, its just the basic services....... I'd rather be in the VIP pack and pay a little extra to get those :-D

Yes - I know. Like Planetgarb I thought... Woah ! £20 off but realised that it didn't include the movies etc.

Just thought it might be useful for others.

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

Has anyone got a link to a page on VM's website about this offer. I've lost the card they sent in the post. I had a look on their site but couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

Re: Virgin Offer in the Post

I saw this offer above XL everything for £56 and thought Id enquire, I'm currently on XL-TV, BB-L and Phone M + additional stb which I'm paying £52pm. Thinking Id have to add £9.50 to the £56pm for extra stb making £66pm, I was pleased to hear that for £65pm you can have XL-TV, XL-BB and XL Phone and V+ box and V box. Obviously Ill have to pay £75 installation on the V+ but for £13pm extra I'm going for this.
