I don't think so, I'm pretty sure that it has to be a "Managed Install" by an Engineer

Do they?

They installed my V+ on an SDTV in Feb 2007. When I bought my HDTV in August 2007, I did the HD config myself. Not exactly complicated!

Re: Do VM do the V+ as a self install quick start option

Ok guys thanks just wanted to know for a friend of mine who wants v+ but now he says he is going to wait for the new version of the v+ box as Cisco / SA have discontinued the v+ 8300dvb and it is being replaced with a new and better receiver info below.

Re: Do VM do the V+ as a self install quick start option

The new V+ box will be available later on this year, i would imagine they have a stockpile that they would want to use first. I think the new box looks fugly, much prefer the older one

If they did i doubt they would be able to get away with a £150 installation charge, somehow i think that's the reason why they don't allow a self install!
