Customer Service Tech problems.

I tried all day yesterday to get through to Virgin 0845 4541111 and all I got was they were having tech problems.

What's going on?

If you don't put in an area code, it just goes through to a technical difficulties answer.

I was using an unfamiliar phone, so I didn't know how to enter the area code at first.

Got through straight away after entering the area code.

Well that was the answer I got, "we are having technical difficulties at the moment, call back later", every time I didn't put the local phone code in.
