Re: VM: One year on....

ONE year on indeed!
Shame the state of the company hasn't moved on (well for me anyway)
The only service from virgin media I would rate is the phone.

I have what was called Talk Unlimited 24, (but I guess nowadays its XL Telephone???)

I have never paid for a phone call in the last 4 years and I love it!
It don't even bother me when I call a landline & I get placed in a queue, as I know that I will not be charged for the call..

The rest of the services, where do I start? V+ box, more like a V- for me, nothing but problem after problem, box freezing up, randomly restarting itself when in the middle of recording, deleted programs not being deleted, some programmes not recording at all, recording clashes when only 1 program set to record, no VOD, what a joke, wont go there!

UPTO 20Mb broadband = -4/10, problem after problem ranging from poor speeds, incorrect STM applied, useless "Technical Support" lies, false promises, frequent Engineer no-shows, incorrect billing, no call backs etc!!!

I am so fed up with this 2-bit company, tomorrow morning I am calling up to give them my 30 days notice, as far as Im concerned they can rip the whole lot out right now!

The ONLY decent service I have at the moment is the 10Mb business broadband, cant fault that over the last few months!

NOTE: PLEASE do NOT flame me for this post, this post represents MY OWN experiences with virgin media, and I know a lot of people have had nothing but good things to say about them, and all I can say to that is; if they can provide this minority of people perfect services, WHY oh WHY can they not do it for EVERY single customer of theirs?

Well this is the last part of my post, and I wish everyone the best of luck with virgin, some may not need it, others need all the luck they can get!

Re: VM: One year on....

I notice some improvement. The interactive TV functions are now decent.
I don't like British TV much, so most channels I would rather do without.

I mostly watch movies, and hate the Sky Movies with a passion. I wish there
was a similar Virgin offering which didn't smell of American main stream.
Film Four was quite in the beginning.
The pin codes drive me nuts - No I don't have any children, don't need my TV
to be a nanny.

I changed my pin code to 1111. Much less of a pain :-)
On topic I seem to be one of the few who have no problems with Virgin, even got me and my wife on their Sim for a tenner a month deal. 10 quid and I never use all my 300 mins and 300 texts. They do seem to have the odd problem with voice mail not being available, but for a tenner I can live with that.
