Question Possible to have both L TV and L Broadband?

Hi all

I've been in contact with VM but have yet to get an answer. At the moment I've got the Large TV package and Small Broadband (2mb) for £25/month. I'd like to upgrade my broadband to at least the 4mb service, but without touching the TV package.

On the VM site, if I go to the Upgrade Your Broadband section within Selfcare, it gives me two options - £25 for L and £37 for XL. I don't know how selected L will affect my overall bill however -- will it simply add £7 to the bill? (S broadband is £18 on its own) or will the whole thing cost £25+£25 (which is obviousy way too much)?

I'm just not sure if the system is 'clever' enough to be aware that I'm already on a bundle, and to update it accordingly.

Does anyone have any experience of bundling L TV with L Broadband?

Any help would be grand!

-laurence

I had XL TV and L BB and wanted to downgrade the TV to L because we didn't really watch any of the extra channels in XL when we compared them, so I dialed 150 and they did it there and then in less than a minute, they should be able to tell you on 150.

Do you know when they're going to bring in the new billing system?

I thought ICOMS could for the modems, especially as ex-tw have no equivalent system for SABS.

Modems are treated the same as TV STBs, controlled and activated through ICOMS. Only the e-mail/dial up accounts done seperately

Re: Possible to have both L TV and L Broadband?

your right the modem will be treated as a DTV outlet, so speed etc will be controlled by ICOMS, telewest do have something similar called IPP, IIRC which is pretty similar to sabs but not as good, it doesnt have the same features.

Now sabs doesnt have to do billing runs etc and because with IT6 it is running on xp, its a lot more stable. With most of the systems it seems to go the telewest way, but as a provisioning system sabs is better and looks more refined than IPP.

But there will still need to be some system to provision and hold email adresses
