yes it was a nice touch, but as ure in sheffield im guesiing its rententions or cust services your in, now those doing the exact same job in swansea or liverpool, taking the same calls, dont get that day off, or extra days holidays, so please dont be too happy

They work for a different company, its upto their employer if they offer additional days holidays, VM Managemnt have nothing to do with it.

try getting ashley stockwell to even realize that Virgin have outsourced staff, & they dont get all those benefits he bangs on about on Home

The point of outsourcing is to reduce costs, you work for a different company that has a contract with VM.

Actually not quite, all this is set by VM for IBM/Adecco/Manpower to adheare to, there is a very strict contract in place, where VM set outs calls expected, staffing levels, levels attained to qualify for bonus, holiday allocation, onshore / offshore bias of staff, etc.. So VM management have quite a big say on what benefits IBM\Adecco\Manpower employees get.

Nothing you have mentioned relates directly to damaging the brand or how employees represent it. The importance of brand is balanced finely with operational issues. Sometimes one element suffers.

Again SLA's dont have much to do with another company giving you a paid holiday.

You would be niave to think things would be the same even with the best of intentions.. Probably get wosr as more moves off shore in 2008
