Smile Stop Giving Me Free Things

Thats right !

I have had a few problems, and so wrote letters of complaint. Other than the letter telling be they will reply soon, they never do..

4 months, still no reply !

However when I send a letter they change my account, you know the 3 for £30, well I must have 4 for £20

XL for the basic etc, but they do these things without telling me, my bill is now so complicated it can't be undrstood, credit this and credit that, and this for 12 months

In fact I think they are paying me to have TV, Broadband and telephone

STOP IT !

I dont want anything more free ! I want to pay !

20Mb broadband at the moment was for the price of 2Mb, but now its free for 12 months

Help, I cant take anymore free things !

To which you respond "I have been paying what the bill tells me to pay" - and they won't have a chance in court. If it's over 6 months time, then legally they have to accept the loss.

edit: I'd love to know why cableforum inserts random formatting code junk just because Opera is set to "Identify as Firefox".

Re: Stop Giving Me Free Things

The difference is, he is not simply not paying the bill - he is not paying because VM have not invoiced him for the right amount. If this happened for only a few months then VM can demand the money. If it goes on for a longer period, 6 months or more, VM are forced to accept the loss as it is their fault, especially if the customer has notified them of the billing error.

Been there done it, had a solicitors advice just in case VM won't even try and push it, since as they know it is their fault and the court would side with the customer in this case.

Re: Stop Giving Me Free Things

Well thanks for the replies

I have rang customer services and asked for stupidvisor and I was told they would get one to ring me back, so far no call, so will write a letter for the free car.. oops I mean complaint.

Nothing in life is free, unless your with Virgin Media, "there I dont call it NTL anymore". So when I get something for free, I know that eventually some custurd service person will then charge me big time.

I cant ask for the discounts to be removed, as I dont know what they are, the bill (If you can call it a bill) has to be typed into Miscrosft Access, only then can I see how the numbers add (Or subtract) but even then it dont come out to the bottom line.

It dont say blah blah for 12 months, it just says -credit £20 -credit £5 but dont say what for..

Now then, this months bill I was charged £1.75 for quick dial (I dont have it) and so I rang up. I have the £3.50 package for all extras over 2 items, so all should be free anyway, but they tell me that now you can only have 6 items for £3.50 and I have 7 ?

Call waiting
Anon Call Reject
Call password Pin
Caller display

um, thinking... Nope dont have anything else, um thats 4..

Anyway they gave me the £1.75 back, BUT ! they wanted to give me so more free things for the trouble, BUT I just hang up the phone..

Oh, do they have call centers in Banglatimbucktoo ? coz the first person I spoke to cut me off when I asked for the £1.75 back
