Advice - upgrading Virgin Media package

VM have been on the phone tonight offering me an upgrade for £1 per month and I need to know whether it is worth having.

I currently have Phone - L (Evenings & Weekends) and Broadband - L (4MB). I have my mobile with O2 and have Sky+.

VM (for £1 per month) will install Digital TV - L on another TV in the house (I don't particularly use my second TV) and will upgrade Broadband to XL (20MB)

Is it worth it? Is 20MB actually achievable or shall I just stick to what I have now?

Any advice would be welcome

Thanks

Re: Advice - upgrading Virgin Media package

i would check with them to make sure there nothin hidden in there like
"its is an extra £1 for 6months then will go up by another £20 with u roped into a new 12 month contract"

if not then its definitely worth having regardless of how good 20meg is in your area, because most people on the 20meg who have genuine speed faults (by which i mean dont trust online speed test for their speed, and have actually checked with modem direct to pc from a reliable download site) get around the 10/12 meg mark, which for an extra £1 a month would be well worth it!!

and to get the tv service upgraded as well i would say is a fantastic deal

as long as theres no small print
