hi,if your seeking help with your set top box or modem heres just a few things to list on your thread/post to cut down on all of the unecessary exchanges before you actually get to the bottom/resolution of your problems:
1.are you ex ntl or ex telewest (if your not sure just say where you live,people will then know whether youre ntl or telewest)
2.make sure you have the make/model of your set top
similarly make/model of your modem
3.if its a broadband issue are you using a router,if so which make/model
4.make/model of tv if its a picture issue (there are known conflicts with certain set tops connected to certain tv's)
5.your postcode may help as it may just be an instance in your area that other people in your area are suffering from and not necessarily a national issue.
6. if any other people can think of anything to add pls feel free.
the reason i have started this thread is that i see so many people starting a thread for help only for it to take umpteen posts before the real problem surfaces,i feel if people are aware of the info the 'helpers' need before they post it will save them (and us) a lot of time and effort.
