vm engineers unhappy with customers
this thread is for genuine stupid truck rolls

i went to a sub on wednesday this week the ticket said slow speed, i rang the sub on my way to the job to ask for more symptoms they were on the 4 meg deal and only getting 30-40k download, however on arrving at the job the sub had a big grin and admmitted she was lying her son had just had a new laptop and they couldnt get it to connect, the exsisting system was fine!!! when i asked why they hadnt sought help from the laptop shop,she said well i rang them and they wanted £20 . I made my excuses and left after informing her we charge more for wasted calls. some customers just take the mick!!!

Have seen similar before, people that have had full CATV fault diagnostics on the phone then when the engineers turned up an ice lolly had been left on the top of the box and 'shock' melted.

Customer failed to mention that bit though.

yeah one of the only plus points to this job is having a hand full of funny stories to tell yours mates up the pub every week.i had one today a customer moved the box up stairs only to find it didnt work.guess what....screwed the old sky feed in.not a virgin cable to be seen any where.when i told her she then proceeded to have a go at me because shes got sky in the other room and it works in there.i told her thats because its a ****ing sky box...jesus..

on the other hand there are ones like mine today.lady said phone rings once then goes off,i UNPLUGGED 2 piggy back type d.i.y. extentions and did a ring back,lo and behold no problem,oh thats the lead to my sky box she says,you know youll get charged for this call-out i says,yes she says,will a cheque do!!! i advised her it would be on her next bill,i handed her receipt to her and she says thanks very much!!! brilliant.
