Some Advice Please...

I recently purchased a HD TV for my bedroom... i.e for playing games on my ps3 and xbox 360... i have 2 standard set top boxes both branded as telewest... i have been looking to get the V+ service installed into the back bedroom, but im just wondering how to go about getting it installed as i read somewhere if you keep your existing set-top box you get it installed for free...
i have broadband, phone and tv from virgin...

but this was sometime ago i looked into before i even purchased the tv... if someone could shed some light onto the situation it would be great...

thanks

Re: Some Advice Please...

£150 for V+ install, i already have 2 standard boxes, im not to bothered if they want to remove the standard one i have in my bedroom to replace it with the V+ box...

Also atm im paying £91.25 on Service Charges... i do think we are getting ripped off when i see the VIP Package priced at £85 and its got better services than i currently have...lol

What services do you currently receive? If you're already paying 91.25 a month, VIP package might be for you.

Re: Some Advice Please...

VIP package would get you

* Sky Sports and Movies*
* TV Size: XL
* V+ HD set-top box
* Additional V set-top box
* Broadband Size: XL
* Phone Size: XL
* Talk International
* Talk Mobile

for £85 a month, with your caller display that would make £86.75 a month.

£25 installation for V+.

Re: Some Advice Please...

VM will supply you with an HDMI cable for HD if you require one.

I'm reading that you want the V+ and another 2 boxes? In that case it would be another £5 p/m on top of the VIP pricing.

Re: Some Advice Please...

Ah ok, in that case they'll swap the one you don't want with a V+ box and leave the other.

darkm can only hope to improve
Re: Some Advice Please...

go for the v+ box, it is a better box than sky, yes a bit buggy at the minute and some problems with the content but it does have far more potential than the sky box.
