virginmedia.com Contact Us

Has anyone on here ever had a response from contacting virgin media through their web site? I used to ask questions when they were NTL and always got a response. I have contacted them twice since being Virgin Media, and have never had a reply (except an automated "we have received your email" mail back).

So has anyone been able to talk to Virgin, or are they less friendly than NTL?

Re: virginmedia.com Contact Us

I got a response, although 2 weeks later. By which time i'd taken matters into my own hands and resolved them.

Re: virginmedia.com Contact Us

I emailed them about a week to ten days ago, about the suitability (or not)
of an Ambit 100 modem on the 20 meg service....errrrrr....still waiting...... without much hope. Ambit delivers max of 11-12 Meg download speeds. Not good.

Re: virginmedia.com Contact Us

Ambit 100's won't do 20Mb.

Get it swapped out.

Re: virginmedia.com Contact Us

By a bizarre twist of fate in the seven years I've been with the various incarnations of this company NEVER ONCE have they sent me an email.....except for two today inviting me to avail of their "pay as you get increasingly frustrated" helpline which kicks off on July first.

I can't wait!!

Yes, I sent off an email saying that Red Dwarf series one on demand was incorrectly labelled with Series 8 titles and descriptions. A few days later a message came back saying thanks for letting us know - lo and behold less than 24 hours after that email the titles and descriptions were corrected.

Re: virginmedia.com Contact Us

Ive used the contact us form twice, 1st time got a reply within 24hrs, second time the query was a bit more technical, and took them a week to get back to me.

So all in all not bad.

the reason it takes so much time to reply back from the Virgin Media team is because they receive up to 500 E-Mails a day. This is mainly because of the amount of customers who wish to be spoon fed information rather than try and resolve the problem themselves, such as how to connect a third part wireless router up to a cable modem. If the E-Mails they receive where actually relevant to Virgin Media's services then the answers would be almost instantaneous, rather than taking so long to reply, this is because Virgin Media have to answer every E-Mail they come across in time of arrival.

Re: virginmedia.com Contact Us

Looks like a lottery then, some get replies, some get forwarded to the correct departments.

I'd not say this was the best experience for most ustomers, and hope they get their act together.
