AM I expecting too much???

I contacted Virgin yesterday telling them I was thinking of going over to Sky and asked for the best price on

4MB Broadband
V+
83 channels
unlimited eveing & weekend calls
sky sports

She told me her price was £52 and I said I wanted to pay no more than £40.
Basically she said she could offer me NO discount and if I wanted to leave to go to sky then feel free.

For a company that has lost tens of thousands of customers in the past few months i was amazed by her attitude.

Do you think I should tell them to flock off and leave, or is it worth speaking to another customer service adviser to see if they have any flexibility

regards

Thats the cheapest your going to get it, and its pointless ringing backup cause the deals are fixed. In fact to be honest not sure how she's come to that amount cause without the V+ I'd have got it got £52. and thats useing a retentions deal.

Re: AM I expecting too much???

Sorry but they are clamping down on deals now, were you actually thinking of going to Sky or were you just trying for a discount as to be honest I'm glad you got the answer you did as it shows that VM are not going to keep offering deals to all and sundry just because they ring up and "claim" they are leaving.

Well first off how cheap can you get all the above from other providers?
No point saying up yours VM if you end up paying more.

If your just stamping your feet in the hope of getting a better deal from VM, it didn't work, get over it.

Re: AM I expecting too much???

Vermin Media does do deals, I do not see any slow down...

SEANCHAR1: Their retention offers are fixed as Matt said. She cannot offer any better. Mind you, if you go to Sky, their BB is not as good as VM, at least here in Guildford
