Pointless Bills!

Pointless Bills!

I got the my bill today, I had expected to just see next months bill at £10 down £20 as I have dropped the Tv and phone for Sky with BB at £10 a month for the next 12 months. I had paid £30 on the 5th.

So I get this bill For £26, so ok I expected some cross over but then it goes on with Discount this, BBI discount this and Credit this till it comes to £1.58 with my BB included / covered till 14th of April.

So I take it I’m just getting most of my £30 back that I’ve paid as you pay a month in advance don’t you?

Re: Pointless Bills!

That’s the point, that’s what the bill is like…….

Over complicated in truth it’s a mess.

I always did hate this “One month in advance”

Just a note with

“You now owe us £1.58 after your change in service and your next bill will be the agreed £10 broadband charge”

I shudder to think what I’ll get next, you never know I might be happily surprised if its £10 then its spot on.

Re: Pointless Bills!

NTL/TW bills have always had problems of clarity. I believe that is the reasons for merging the 14 billing systems into one and then improving it (standard business practice)

The most annoying aspect is the adjustments which are easy to understand if you have changed one element and you know when. but if you/VM make a number of changes then you are in trouble

My attitude has been if the adjustment was in my favour - take it

if the adjustment was not in favour (either less rebate or more cost) - dispute it and ask for a breakdown. if they cannot break down to your satisfaction say you are unwilling to accept and any DD will be cancelled using the DD guarantee facility (I was a lot more boistrous). in the two occasions I had to do this once with NTL years ago and with TW shortly after moving house courtesy credits were given as they could not tell me what the system had done and therefore could not prove they were right!
