VM & Sky Sports - No interactive for the cricket

FWIW

I am a keen cricket fan {sad me!} and have subscribed to Sky Sports on VM as canna afford to go to the West Indies as Mr Lotto hasn't decided to help us out.

Sky sports show 2 cricket matches; one on the sports channel and the other match via the interactive "red" button but not on VM

Called 150 and spoke to VM. Seems that you don't get interactive on Sky Sports although you pay for the service. I got a "take it or leave it" attitude.

Bit of a bummer indeed! However don't blame VM. Sky will "NOT" allow VM to have access to the Red Button facilities on Sky Sports, so if you are unhappy then take out your frustrations with Mr Murdoch

The red button hardly works at all on VM..except for the special Virgin Media channel.I really can't see why it could work for the Rugby on the BBC last weekend but NEVER for BBC news 24...Oh and it works during Wimbledon on the BBC as well.That's about the only time it ever works.You've no chance of getting it to work on Sky content though.

So you can imagine my excitement when at my Ma-inlaws I accidently pressed the red button on her Freeview box remote and it actually worked..

Fingers crossed OFCOM and the regulators will finally sort Sky out and force them to offer us the full product!

Sky can keep 90% of their interactive stuff as far as I am concerned but I think they should be forced to make available coverage, such as the other cricket match, or the other football matches in the euro cup, where they just use the facade of interactivity for what is just one or more other noninteractive channels.
