CS - A positive experience (so far...)

After many months of using 10Mb BB through my Samsung box - not having wanted to pay the £50 ntl: originally wanted to install a CM , I bit the Bullet today and contacted CS about getting a self install CM kit.

The CS rep I spoke to was very helpful, and after the usual security checks passed me directly to Sales who deal with the kit shipping (I guess it's used more for new customers).

The guy in Sales was equally helpful, after confirming that I really did need a CM he organised shipping, advised me of the delivery date (Tuesday by Parcel Force), gave me the PIN No. and then said Oh you dont have any discounts, have £10.50 a month ongoing - and I didnt even have to ask

Now I guess it will be the usual lottery as to whether it is applied but I could at least hear him typing somthing as he mentioned applying the discount

I recently got a self install CM kit as i wanted to upgrade to 4mb using a pace box.
Thanks to this forum i was able to correct the first CS assistant that upgraded me 'no problem' on the phone and said i would get 4mb through my pace box!
Had a bit of swapping to sales then back to CS and back to sales, but got there in the end. SACM arrived on time and had 4mb 30 mins later.

Parcelforce delivery guy said he had quite a few virgin media boxs in his van that day.

Well I just got my 1st bill since the chat with CS/Sales and am completely flabberghasted...

They have correctly included the discount, it's listed as 'Phone, TV & BB Bundle Saving'.

Not only that, they have also applied it as refund for the partial month on previous bills advance payment.

Am I just lucky or are things starting to work properly at VM ?

Be wary if you are an ex ntl customer as the bb bill is now separete from the telco/tv bill and is taken as a separate dd.
Off course if you are ex Telewest it will all appear on the one bill.

Exactly what happened to me. My bill looked about right, difficult really to be sure, but I was shaken to get a seperate email saying they were debiting a large, incorrect, amount for broadband.

Spent an hour on the phone yesterday trying to sort it out but I'll have to wait for next months bill to see if the promises are kept.

I'm exNTL and I got my broadband via a STB util they moved me to a cable modem in February.NOBODY told me anything about the seperate billing for BB.
