Arsenal TV to launch on Virgin Media

Arsenal TV is to launch on Virgin Media on 18th March. Read on for more details.

Virgin Media has announced the launch of Arsenal TV on it’s Digital Cable TV system.

The channel is free for all customers on the XL TV package, and as part of the Setanta Sports pack for M and L customers.

The channel is on air five days a week, six hours each day and includes shows such as “Arsenal Today” (a news programme) and “Bob Wilson Meets” where the aforementioned ex-Arsenal player interviews other ex-Arsenal players.

Amongst other things, the channel will carry “Fans’ Forum”, a phone-in show where Tom Watt talks to the fans about the club, upcoming games etc.

Virgin Media’s Chief Executive of Content, Malcolm Wall, said “Virgin Media is leading the industry in providing exceptional content to our customers. We’re delighted to be launching Arsenal TV and boosting our sports offering, which already includes Setanta Sports and Sky Sports channels along with free Premiership highlights on virginmedia.com. We look forward to continuing to offer a diverse range of content to all Virgin Media customers.”

The channel will be available from the 18th March 2008.
